The questions people actually ask
Mostly about data, honestly — and they are the right questions to ask of anything that researches people for a living.
Data and privacy
What OppStream holds, where it comes from, and what happens when someone asks to be removed.
Is my data used to train AI models?+
No. Your company data, your pipeline and your prospects are never used to train anything. They are used to answer your questions and nothing else.
Where does prospect information come from?+
Public professional sources and published company material — the same places a researcher on your team would look. Every finding carries the evidence behind it, so you can check where something came from before you act on it.
What happens if someone asks to be removed?+
They are suppressed permanently, across the whole workspace, and no colleague can undo it by tidying up a list. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe that is honoured immediately rather than within some number of business days.
Can I export everything and leave?+
Yes. Your data is yours, it exports in full, and deleting a workspace deletes it — including the files behind it, not just the rows that point at them.
How it behaves
What it does on its own, what it refuses to do, and what it says when it is not sure.
Does it send from my email address?+
Yes — your own mailbox, your own domain, your own threads. Nothing is sent from a shared sending domain, so your deliverability is never pooled with other people's.
Will it send things without me?+
Only if you switch that on, for the goals you choose, inside limits you set — a daily cap, which action types are allowed, and a stop that halts everything at once. Off by default, and nothing sends at all until you tick an action type.
What does it do when it is not sure?+
It says so. An uncertain finding is labelled uncertain, a guessed email address is marked as a guess, and a field it could not fill stays empty rather than being filled with something plausible. A confident wrong answer is worse than an honest gap.
Do I have to fill in personas and ICP worksheets?+
No. It works out who you sell to from your own website and material, then you correct it if it is wrong. Anything you would have to maintain by hand is something you will eventually stop maintaining.
How is this different from buying a list?+
A list is a snapshot of who exists. OppStream researches why a specific company is worth calling this week — the funding round, the hiring pattern, the new plant — and then tells you who to speak to and what to say. The list is the easy part.
Practical
Setup, languages, the free plan and what a paid plan costs.
How long does setup take?+
Minutes. Give it your website and a sentence about what you sell; the first researched accounts arrive without any further configuration.
Does it work outside English?+
Yes. Outreach and video scripts are written in the recipient's language, with the formal register where that is expected — German prospects get "Sie", not a translated English email.
Is there a free plan?+
Yes, and it is a plan rather than a trial. It gives you one seat and ten scored opportunities, and it does not ask for a credit card. Paid plans start at 29 USD per seat per month and add capacity, video volume, CRM sync and automation.
Are there any hidden fees?+
No. A paid plan is a flat price per seat: no setup fee, no onboarding fee, and no usage billed to you after the fact. Monthly plans are month to month, annual saves twenty per cent, and there is no minimum seat count.
